Wedding fun!

Drew's cousin got married today and we were lucky enough to be invited! We were supposed to arrive yesterday but the storm on the east coast had other plans. Poor Rachel drove us 1 hour to the airport Only for me to realize I had forgotten my phone! She went and picked it up for me (20 minutes out of her way) then around 9pm the airline rebooked us. I couldn't have Rachel come all the way back so we took an 80 dollar cab ride. We had to get up at 430 today so I could go pick up my cell from Rachel's and get to the airport on time. Luckily it all worked out and we had a blast at the wedding.
Drew and his gorgeous sisters...some seriously good genes in that family
Having fun being silly
My love and I!

Greek pizza

Omg! Drew's mom gave us this fantastic recipe for Greek pizza. I'm not sure that there is a Greek food that I don't like, so this is right up my ally! It's beyond simple and I promise you'll love it-

Pizza crust
Either you can use 1 frozen dough placed in a cookie sheet or 2 boboli crusts. Either way brush it with oil and garlic...

Chicken marinade-
3 large chicken breasts( cut into tiny squares)
1 cup olive oil
1/2 large onion chopped
3 tsp oregano
Marinade the chicken in this mixture overnight. If time will not allow for this, then you can make it at prep time. Marinading enhances the flavors.
In a frying pan cook all the chicken in the oil mixture until no longer pink. Use a slotted spoon and put chicken mixture (sans oil) on the crust. On top put kalamata olives, tomatoes, feta cheese, and mozorella cheese.

Load up the pizza and cook @400 degrees for 25-30minutes...
Enjoy! Hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday!

Summer gifts!

Over the last 9 months I have been surrounded by some of the smartest, kindest, and most helpful people you could ever dream of. I wanted to put some things together just so people knew how much I appreciate them! I looked on Pinterest and found some good gifts!

This lip balm was just vasoline and koolaid! It was so easy. I bought the little jars, cocoa butter vasoline, and koolaid at the dollar tree!

Remove vasoline and put it in a bowl, add dry koolaid mix
Once you are done mixing, place it in the containers and you're all done! I placed " lip balm with love" on them.
Next I made body scrub! It was so easy!! It smelled amazing and I gave it a test run, my legs feel like a million bucks!
I used this recipe and doubled it

I added pink food coloring and this black cherry oil I got at the dollar store!

I packaged them in mason jars. I think they look really sweet ( I actually stole the jar idea from a friend)!

I labeled all the scrubs with "scrub with love"

I bought these adorable boxes at the dollar tree too, I also bought some shredded paper to put in the boxes with loofas, and wine.

Inside the box! A nice little treat to get the party started! I did the math and each box cost me $3.83...with the wine and everything! I think it was a GREAT deal!
My finished boxes! I put wine on top! I hope everyone loves them. Because I couldn't afford to give these to everyone I also did some cookie gifts and some scrub jars.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Tuesday!!

Homemade apothecary!

I'm obsessed with everything pottery barn. One day I hope to own everything in their stores! One of my favorite things is their apothecary jars. They typically sell between 40-70 dollars. I just can't ever spend that sort of money on a jar!
Gorgeous as the are! I think they throw a whole room together and you can put anything in them. They work in kitchens, bathrooms, offices...everywhere! So I've been searching Pinterest and I saw that you can make your own...they're easy  too! I went to the dollar store and found-
(3)A candle stick-$3
(3)Vase-$3
(1)Small glass bowl pkg of 3- $1
(3)Door knob-3.99 each
(1)Super glue-1
Total-7 dollars plus tax

The hardest part was getting the stickers off everything!
First I glued the candle stick to the vase- I used an extremely heavy book to get the glue to set

Then I put the knob on top of the glass bowl- that adhered with absolutely no problem!

Here is the finished product! I'm going back to the dollar store tomorrow and making more! I love them! Hope you guys have as much luck as me!

Sundays are lazy!

My Sunday was so freaking lovely! I needed a break! Thank goodness I didn't drink on Saturday and was feeling healthy! (As healthy as you can post-pizza hut). I got my station all set up- air mattresses in the living room is the best gift the weisedels have ever given me!! I love to veg out! I cleaned all morning then around three I laid down, read magazines, pinterested, and watched movies!
On the hunt for more coupons, crafts, and outfit ideas!
She can touch her tongue to her nose apparently!

During my pinteresting I found this amazing app that let's you reset your phone apps to be cute! I love it!
Download it! You'll love it!
They have cool backgrounds!
I LOVE my phones new look!

Saturday night and the feelings right!

We had such a wonderful weekend!on Friday we watched our usual fish tank and dateline...it's so nice to just sit with drew. I think that the number one reason I love him so gosh darn much is because he talks with me, shares with me, and treats me like a friend. On Saturday Drew got up and did crossfit so I packed my stuff and headed to the beach! The beach looked so cool after the storm-
The waves were high and everyone was out surfing and sunning. The weather app told me it would storm all day- LIAR! It was 88 and not a cloud in the sky!
All I did was lay out and read my Cosmo! Drew came with lunch and we hung out until storm clouds came, around 230.
I decided to go use the coupons I'd been hoarding
I bought 8.99 deodorant, 5.99 mouth wash, 1 dollar toothpaste, 5 dollar mascara, 2 dollar nail polish- for a total of 22 dollars---> post-coupons 2 dollars!!! SO AMAZING, right?? Then I was on a shopping high and got ready to go to Emily house!!
Adults love piñatas!!!

I haven't had fun with a bunch of friends going out NC style in a while!
Love her so much!! You won't find a cuter birthday girl!! I was worried I wouldn't be able to make Emmys birthday special because she's so far from everyone at home, but man everyone really showed up- her boyfriend, his friends, her coworkers and friends- it was SO nice!!
